Kimble Hospital is licensed for 15 inpatient acute care beds, including 5 private rooms and 5 additional rooms that can accommodate 2 patients when needed.  The hospital provides care for inpatients with acute conditions such as heart attack, congestive heart failure, pneumonia and influenza, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes.
One of the patient rooms in the inpatient unit is a special suite for end-of-life care designed to meet the needs of patients and their families.

As part of the Swing Bed Program established by Medicare, all of the acute care beds may be used as skilled nursing beds for qualified patients who require additional inpatient care.
